I believe the answer is:

brief

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'small' is the definition.

'part of one's clothing that lawyers like to get?' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'one' could be 'i' (Roman numeral) and 'i' is present in the answer.
'part' could be 're' (re is a kind of part) and 're' is present in the remaining letters.
This explanation may well be incorrect...

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for brief that I've seen before include "brusque > QC, perhaps" , "Provide someone with the facts of the case" , "Succinct" , "Short in duration" , "not lasting long" .)

I've seen this clue in The Hindu.
