Something binding after current agreement (6)
I believe the answer is:
accord
'agreement' is the definition.
(an accord is a formal agreement)
'something binding after current' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'current' could be 'ac' (alternating current) and 'ac' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'cord' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for accord that I've seen before include "Harmony and fellowship" , "Match" , "Official treaty" , "Myra -, pianist; Rudolf -, Nazi" , "Agree" .)
