Space between flights? (7)
I believe the answer is:
landing
This clue could be a double definition.
'space' is the first definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I can't see how they can define each other.
'between flights?' is the second definition.
(I've seen this before)
(Other definitions for landing that I've seen before include "It ends a flight (in two ways)" , "Reaching the shore" , "Touching down" , "End of a flight" , "Coming down to earth" .)
