I cannot really see how this works, but
'stashed' could be 'hid' (I've seen this in another clue) and 'hid' is present in the answer.
'crack' could be 'go' (synonyms) and 'go' is located in the answer.
'a' is within the answer.
'line' could be 'l' (used when specifying particular lines from a poem) and 'l' is found within the answer.
