Spherical food shaped the wrong way (4)
I believe the answer is:
edam
'spherical food' is the definition.
'Edam' can be an answer for 'food' (Edam is an example). I'm not sure about the 'spherical' bit.
'shaped the wrong way' is the wordplay.
'shaped' becomes 'made' (I've seen this in another clue).
'the wrong way' says the letters should be written in reverse.
'made' written backwards gives 'EDAM'.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for edam that I've seen before include "Dutch food" , "Made into a nice cheese" , "Spherical cheese" , "Yellow cheese with a red covering" , "Type of cheese" .)
