Stone, large, in remade pattern (7)
I believe the answer is:
emerald
'stone' is the definition.
(type of gemstone)
'large in remade pattern' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'large' could be 'l' (eg in clothes sizes) and 'l' is found within the answer.
an anagram of 'remade' is 'emerad' which is within the left over letters.
This accounts for all the letters.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
