Stop trying to stuff suitcase? (4,2,2)
I believe the answer is:
pack it in
'stop' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'trying to stuff suitcase?' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'stuff' could be 'pack' (packing is a kind of stuffing) and 'pack' is found in the answer.
This may be the basis of clue (or it may be nonsense).
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for pack it in that I've seen before include "Give over" , "Quit" , "Slangily, stop doing it - stuff suitcase" , "How will you get all that stuff into your suitcase" , "Stop working - or stuff suitcase?" .)
