Stories about radiation detected in Parisian building (6)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

louvre

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'parisian building' is the definition.
The definition and answer can be both man-made objects as well as being singular nouns.
Perhaps you can see a link between them that I don't see?

'stories about radiation' is the wordplay.
'stories' becomes 'lore' (I've seen this in other clues).
'about' is an insertion indicator.
'radiation' becomes 'uv' (I can't justify this - if you can you should give a lot more credence to this answer).
'lore' going around 'uv' is 'LOUVRE'.

'detected in' acts as a link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for louvre that I've seen before include "Great art gallery in Paris" , "Great art museum-gallery in Paris" , "Slatted ventilation - Paris museum" , "Famous Paris national gallery of art" , "that's normally closed during the winter?" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
