Straightened out backside, wrinkly in audition (9)
I believe the answer is:
realigned
'straightened out backside' is the definition.
The definition and answer can be both related to change as well as being past participle verbs.
Perhaps they are linked in a way I don't understand?
'wrinkly in audition' is the wordplay.
'wrinkly' becomes 'ligne' (I can't explain this - if you can you should give a lot more credence to this answer).
'in' indicates putting letters inside.
'audition' becomes 'read' (I've seen this in another clue).
'ligne' placed into 'read' is 'REALIGNED'.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Another definition for realigned that I've seen is " Grouped again on a new basis".)
