Such bread lets you fill the hollow within (5)
I believe the answer is:
pitta
'such bread' is the definition.
'pitta' can be an answer for 'bread' (I've seen this before). I am not certain of the 'such' bit.
'you fill the hollow within' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'the' could be 't' (the is pronounced as a 't' sound in some dialects) and 't' is located in the answer.
'hollow' could be 'pit' (pit is a kind of hollow) and 'pit' is present in the answer.
A single letter 'a' remains which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
'lets' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for pitta that I've seen before include "I might have a kebab in" , "Flat hollow unleavened bread" , "Partially-leavened bread of the Near East" , "Type of flatbread" , "Middle Eastern bread" .)
