Suitably accepting most of raise, it seems (10)
I believe the answer is:
apparently
'it seems' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'suitably accepting most of raise' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'raise' could be 'parent' (synonyms) and 'parent' is found in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for apparently that I've seen before include "On the face of it" , "Clearly" , "so it seems" , "Seemingly" .)
