Surpass available series (6)
I believe the answer is:
outrun
'surpass' is the definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)
'available series' is the wordplay.
'available' becomes 'out' (as in a product which is out).
'series' becomes 'run' (a run or sequence of things).
'out'+'run'='OUTRUN'
(Other definitions for outrun that I've seen before include "Lose" , "Go faster than, on the gallop" , "Be too fast for on foot" , "Overtake, escape" , "Go faster than as in foot race" .)
