Crossword Genius

Swiped right, finally put in single name (6)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

stolen

'swiped' is the definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)

'right finally put in single name' is the wordplay.
'finally' says to take the final letters.
'put in' indicates putting letters inside.
'single' becomes 'sole' (synonyms).
'name' becomes 'n' (common abbreviation e.g. on forms).
The final letter of 'right' is 't'.
't' placed within 'sole' is 'stole'.
'stole'+'n'='STOLEN'

(Other definitions for stolen that I've seen before include "` `The ... Child' ' (Yeats)" , "Misappropriated; hot" , "Goods that have been taken dishonestly" , "Taken without the owner's consent" , "Purloined in Solent" .)

I've seen this clue in The Guardian.
