Switched and dressed, taking large (7)
I believe the answer is:
toggled
'switched' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'dressed taking large' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'large' could be 'l' (eg in clothes sizes) and 'l' is present in the answer.
'dressed' could be 'togged' ('tog' can be a synonym of 'dress') and 'togged' is found within the remaining letters.
This accounts for all the letters.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'and' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for toggled that I've seen before include "with switch" , "Switched" , "Duffel coats are often" .)
