Take a hurried look at Ireland's clean, empty cove (6)
I believe the answer is:
glance
'take a hurried look' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'ireland's clean empty cove' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
an anagram of 'clean' is 'lance' which is within the answer.
A single letter 'g' remains which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'at' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for glance that I've seen before include "Peek" , "Batting stroke" , "Glimpse" , "A brief or casual look" , "Momentary look" .)
