Taken away in tears again? (7)
I believe the answer is:
removed
'taken away' is the definition.
('remove' can be a synonym of 'take away')
'tears again?' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'again?' could be 're' (prefix meaning 'again') and 're' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'moved' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'in' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for removed that I've seen before include "Took away" , "Withdrawn" , "Got rid of" , "Having made a withdrawal" , "Taken away" .)
