Tasty drink brought over on a board (9)
I believe the answer is:
palatable
'tasty' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'over on a board' is the wordplay.
'over on' becomes 'pal' (I can't justify this - if you can you should give a lot more credence to this answer).
'board' becomes 'table' (both can mean food).
'pal'+'a'+'table'='PALATABLE'
'drink brought' is the link.
This may not be correct. Some or all of it may be part of another bit of the clue.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for palatable that I've seen before include "pleasing" , "good to eat" , "Pleasant to the taste, acceptable" , "Tasty" , "Of food, tasting nice; of idea, acceptable" .)
