Teddy boy (3)
I believe the answer is:
ned
'boy' is the definition.
'teddy' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'teddy' could be 'ed' (I've seen this in other clues) and 'ed' is found within the answer.
A single letter 'n' remains which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for ned that I've seen before include "A den for Edward" , "rough" .)
