Tell you how much time you've got? (8)
I believe the answer is:
sentence
'tell' is the definition.
The definition and answer can be both to do with communicating as well as being verbs in their base form.
Maybe they are linked in a way I don't understand?
'how much time you've got?' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'time' could be 'ten' (I've seen this before) and 'ten' is found in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'you' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for sentence that I've seen before include "The fate of criminals" , "Judicial penalty" , "unit booked?" , "Court judgement" , "Court decision on a grammatical structure" .)
