Telling Fido to leave it hidden (5)
I believe the answer is:
doggo
'hidden' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'telling fido to leave it' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'leave' could be 'go' and 'go' is found within the answer.
The remaining letters 'dog' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This may be the basis of clue (or it may be nonsense).
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for doggo that I've seen before include "Lie . . . . . , motionless or hidden" , "lying low" , "Quietly hidden" , "lying to avoid detection!" , "(Lie) concealed" .)
