'team bonus' is the wordplay.
'team' becomes 'eleven' (eleven is a kind of team).
'bonus' becomes 'plus' (I've seen this in another clue).
'eleven'+'plus'='ELEVEN-PLUS'

(Another definition for eleven-plus that I've seen is " School exam".)
