The last place a Buddhist wants to go (7)
I believe the answer is:
nirvana
'the last place' is the definition.
'nirvana' can be an answer for 'place' (I have seen 'serene place' mean 'nirvana' so perhaps 'place' could also mean 'nirvana'). I'm unsure of the 'the last' bit.
'a buddhist wants to go' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'a' could be 'an' and 'an' is found within the answer.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for nirvana that I've seen before include "State of total happiness" , "Buddhists' transcendental state" , "Buddhist 23" , "Iran van (anag) - blissful state!" , "State of pure happiness" .)
