Crossword Genius

Three quarters of strategy rearranged in turn (6)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

gyrate

'turn' is the definition.
(I know that gyrate is a more specific form of the action turn)

I don't understand how the remainder of the clue works.

(Other definitions for gyrate that I've seen before include "Move quickly in a spiral" , "Revolve, whirl" , "Move in a circle or spiral" , "Spin at speed" , "Turn" .)

I've seen this clue in The Guardian.
