Crossword Genius

Thus repeated that person (2-3-2)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

so-and-so

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'person' is the definition.

'thus repeated' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'thus' could be 'so' (synonyms) and 'so' is present in the answer.
The remaining letters 'andso' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).

'that' is the link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for so-and-so that I've seen before include "Disliked person" , "Unnamed person" , "Right little rascal!" , "This/that person/thing" , "Unpleasant person - whose name has been forgotten!" .)

I've seen this clue in the Sydney Morning Herald.
