Crossword Genius

Tie with netting, marked green (5,4)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

score draw

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'tie' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)

'marked green' is the wordplay.
'marked' becomes 'scored' ('score' can be a synonym of 'mark').
'green' becomes 'raw' ('raw' can be a synonym of 'green').
'scored'+'raw'='SCORE DRAW'

'with netting' is the link.
I am not very happy about this link. Some or all of it may belong to another bit of the clue.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for score draw that I've seen before include "Tie" , "get one each for example" , "Football result" , "No-win situation" , "1A as a match result?" .)

I've seen this clue in The Telegraph.
