Tiresome following son's bad language (8)
I believe the answer is:
swearing
'bad language' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'tiresome following son's' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'son's' could be 's' and 's' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'wearing' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for swearing that I've seen before include "promising" , "blue emissions?" , "Affirming or cursing" , "Expressing annoyance" , "Using bad language" .)
