Told Porky to have a rest (3,4)
I believe the answer is:
lie down
'have a rest' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'told porky' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'porky' could be 'lie' (I've seen this in other clues) and 'lie' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'down' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'to' acts as a link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for lie down that I've seen before include "Take rest; be submissive (under)" , "Rest in a horizontal position" , "joining rest" , "Short rest on a bed" , "Enid Low (anag.)" .)
