Too dear to soak (5)
I believe the answer is:
steep
This might be a double definition.
'too dear' is the first definition.
'steep' can be an answer for 'dear' (I've seen this in another clue). I'm not certain of the 'too' bit.
'to soak' is the second definition.
(I know that steep is a more specific form of imbue)
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for steep that I've seen before include "Difficult" , "Rising sharply" , "Unreasonably dear - soak" , "Sheer, precipitous" , "Quickly rising" .)
