Both the definition and answer are adjectives. Perhaps you can see a link between them that I can't see?

'too good to' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite understand how this works, but
'good' could be 'pi' (old-fashioned term for pious) and 'pi' is found in the answer.
'to' is present in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
