Although both the answer and definition are plural nouns, I can't see how one could define the other.

'trade ideas wild' is the wordplay.
'wild' indicates anagramming the letters.
'trade'+'ideas'='tradeideas'
'tradeideas' is an anagram of 'DESIDERATA'.
