Twists up, moved in front, all spread out (8)
I believe the answer is:
sprawled
'spread out' is the definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)
'twists up moved' is the wordplay.
'twists' becomes 'warps' (I've seen this in another clue).
'up' shows that the letters should be reversed in order (in down clue: letters go upwards).
'moved' becomes 'led' (leading is a kind of moving).
'warps' in reverse letter order is 'spraw'.
'spraw'+'led'='SPRAWLED'
'in front all' acts as a link.
I am not very happy about this link. Some or all of it may belong to another bit of the clue.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for sprawled that I've seen before include "Lolled in loose-limbed way" , "Sat or lay with limbs stretched out" .)
