Two ways to have hair criticised (9)
I believe the answer is:
upbraided
'criticised' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'two ways to have hair' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'hair' could be 'braid' (braid is a kind of hair) and 'braid' is found in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for upbraided that I've seen before include "Reprimanded" , "Scolded, reproached" , "Told off" , "faulted" , "Carpeted" .)
