Type of craft pint, way behind bar (9)
I believe the answer is:
aeroplane
'type of craft' is the definition.
'aeroplane' can be an answer for 'craft' (thesaurus). I'm unsure of the 'type of' bit.
'pint way behind bar' is the wordplay.
'pint way' becomes 'plane' (I can't justify this - if you can you should give a lot more credence to this answer).
'behind' is a charade indicator (letters next to each other).
'bar' becomes 'aero' (chocolate bar).
'plane' put after 'aero' is 'AEROPLANE'.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for aeroplane that I've seen before include "Flying machine" , "Flier" , "Lancaster?" , "Spitfire, for example" , "Eg, jumbo jet" .)
