Unavoidably for every constabulary (8)
I believe the answer is:
perforce
'unavoidably' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'every constabulary' is the wordplay.
'every' becomes 'per' ('per' means 'for each' or 'for every').
'constabulary' becomes 'force' (I can't explain this - if you can you should believe this answer much more).
'per'+'force'='PERFORCE'
'for' acts as a link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for perforce that I've seen before include "Of necessity" , "Necessarily; inevitably" , "By force of circumstance, necessarily" , "without choice" , "willy-nilly" .)
