Unconventional door, say? (3-3)
I believe the answer is:
way-out
'unconventional' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'door say?' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'door say?' could be 'way' (door is a kind of way) and 'way' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'out' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't see.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for way-out that I've seen before include "Exit - eccentric" , "Unconventional; exit" , "Strikingly unconventional" , "John --, celebrated cricket commentator" , "Offbeat" .)
