Unsettling hint admitted in parts by disguised noble (13)
I believe the answer is:
distinguished
'noble' is the definition.
(I've seen this before)
'unsettling hint admitted in parts by disguised' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'admitted' could be 'in' (eg someone might be admitted into a group) and 'in' is found in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for distinguished that I've seen before include "saw the difference" , "Made out; noble" , "Treated as different" , "Recognised - famous" , "Uniquely recognised" .)
