Urged to change top getting dolled up (7)
I believe the answer is:
dressed
'dolled up' is the definition.
(dressed extravagantly or fancily)
'urged to change top' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'change' could be 'dress' (dressing is a kind of changing) and 'dress' is found within the answer.
The remaining letters 'ed' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'getting' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for dressed that I've seen before include "How the turkey is made oven-ready" , "When you buy them crabs might be" , "Arranged" , "Attired" , "put bandage on" .)
