Use over-produced works of art. (7)
I believe the answer is:
oeuvres
'works of art' is the definition.
'oeuvres' can be an answer for 'works' (an oeuvre is someone's collected works). I'm unsure of the 'of art' bit.
'use over-produced' is the wordplay.
'produced' indicates anagramming the letters.
'use'+'over'='useover'
'useover' anagrammed gives 'OEUVRES'.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Another definition for oeuvres that I've seen is " Bodies of (literary) works".)
I've seen this clue in The Globe and Mail.
