Use the top bunk to doze longer in bed? (9)
I believe the answer is:
oversleep
'doze longer in bed?' is the definition.
'use the top bunk' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'top' could be 'over' (I've seen this before) and 'over' is located in the answer.
The remaining letters 'sleep' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
'to' is the link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for oversleep that I've seen before include "rest too long?" , "ignore call to be roused" , "entranced too long" , "miss breakfast?" , "Get up too late" .)
