Vagrants? One holds forth, concealing point (10)
I believe the answer is:
itinerants
'vagrants?' is the definition.
The definition and answer can be both people as well as being plural nouns.
Perhaps you can see a link between them that I can't see?
'one holds forth concealing point' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'one' could be 'an' (an apple is one apple) and 'an' is located in the answer.
'point' could be 'ne' (NE is an example) and 'ne' is present in the answer.
This explanation may well be incorrect...
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for itinerants that I've seen before include "Point and talk wildly in view of island" , "Travellers" .)
