Washing going on the line, all there (7,8)
I believe the answer is:
hanging together
'washing going on the line' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are present participle verbs, I cannot see how they can define each other.
'all there' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
an anagram of 'there' is 'ether' which is present in the answer.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
