Welcome sort of shower (4)
I believe the answer is:
hail
This might be a double definition.
'welcome sort' is the first definition.
'hail' can be an answer for 'welcome' ('hail' is a greeting or welcome). I am unsure of the 'sort' bit.
'shower' is the second definition.
(I have seen 'Cold shower' mean 'hail' so perhaps 'shower' could also mean 'hail')
'of' acts as a link.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for hail that I've seen before include "Stones from the sky" , "Stones dropped" , "Fall of ice" , "Greet or applaud" , "a drop of the hard stuff?" .)
