Crossword Genius

What’s very likely to be spotted in game (6)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

domino

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'game' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I don't understand how one could define the other.

'what's very likely to be spotted in' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'in' is present in the answer.
The remaining letters 'domo' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for domino that I've seen before include "Pipped playing tile" , "Mark - cape - piece used in game" , "Loose cloak with mask for upper face" , "Small block with dots for table game" , "one coming down with many others?" .)

I've seen this clue in The Times.
