Crossword Genius

Where animal keepers might go reportedly for film (4)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

zulu

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'for film' is the definition.
(I have seen 'famous film' mean 'zulu' so perhaps 'film' could also mean 'zulu')

I cannot understand how the rest of the clue works.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for zulu that I've seen before include "1964 film about the Battle of Rorke's Drift" , "African warrior under Chaka" , "South African native" , "Language of southeast Africa" , "Bantu language; Z in radio communications" .)
