Ross

I believe the answer is:

garage

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'where drivers may' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I don't see how they can define each other.

'anger at a shortage of gas?' is the wordplay.
'anger' becomes 'rage' (rage is a kind of anger).
'at' says to put letters next to each other (I've seen this in other clues).
'a shortage of' means to remove the last letter.
'gas' with its final letter removed is 'ga'.
'rage' after 'ga' is 'GARAGE'.

'show' is the link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for garage that I've seen before include "Home for the car" , "workshop" , "Attachment to the house" , "Domestic shelter for car" , "Building for vehicles" .)
