Ross

I believe the answer is:

office

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'where one is likely to' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are singular nouns, I don't understand how one could define the other.

'a rink manager?' is the wordplay.
I cannot really see how this works, but
'rink' could be 'ice' (ice rink is a kind of rink) and 'ice' is found in the answer.
The remaining letters 'off' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).

'find' acts as a link.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for office that I've seen before include "base?" , "employment > service" , "Room for working" , "professional business?" , "Position in government?" .)

I've seen this clue in The Globe and Mail.
