Where you might find Cliff close to losing it (2,3,4)
I believe the answer is:
on the edge
'close to losing it' is the definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)
'where you might find cliff' is the wordplay.
I cannot really understand how this works, but
'you' could be 'thee' (historical second person pronoun) and 'thee' is located in the answer.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).
Can you help me to learn more?
I've seen this clue in The Irish Times.
