Wild llama rolled about in sh*t (7)
I believe the answer is:
guanaco
'wild llama' is the definition.
(I've seen this in another clue)
'rolled about in sht' is the wordplay.
'rolled' says the letters should be written backwards (letters roll back).
'about' becomes 'ca' (circa).
'in' means one lot of letters goes inside another.
'sht' becomes 'guano' (I can't justify this - if you can you should give a lot more credence to this answer).
'ca' back-to-front is 'ac'.
'ac' going inside 'guano' is 'GUANACO'.
Can you help me to learn more?
(Other definitions for guanaco that I've seen before include "One of the 30 [RUMINANTS]" , "South American resident" , "wool producer" , "Hoofed mammal" , "Llama-like animal" .)
