Crossword Genius

Woman set out eating requirements (5)

Ross

I believe the answer is:

diets

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'requirements' is the definition.
Although both the answer and definition are plural nouns, I don't see how one could define the other.

'woman set out eating' is the wordplay.
'woman' becomes 'di' (short for Diana).
'out' indicates an anagram (out can mean wrong or inaccurate).
'eating' means one lot of letters goes inside another.
'set' is an anagram of 'ets'.
'di' going within 'ets' is 'DIETS'.

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for diets that I've seen before include "causing stones to vanish" , "Commons" , "Legislative assemblies" , "Regimens" , "Disciplined eating regimes" .)

I've seen this clue in The Mirror.
