Ross

I believe the answer is:

hermes

I'm a little stuck... Click here to teach me more about this clue!

'olympian' is the definition.
(Greek god who lived on Mount Olympus)

'woman's employing vacuous meme referring to famous' is the wordplay.
I cannot quite see how this works, but
'woman's' could be 'her' (belonging to a woman) and 'her' is found within the answer.
The remaining letters 'mes' is a valid word which might be clued in a way I don't understand.
This may be the basis of the clue (or it may be nonsense).

Can you help me to learn more?

(Other definitions for hermes that I've seen before include "Messenger and herald of the gods" , "Winged messenger" , "Greek messenger god" , "Greek god of commerce and theft" , "Greek messenger of the gods, like Roman Mercury" .)

I've seen this clue in The Irish Times.
